Passion For Life
An organization of inclusivity
outdoor appreciation mentors
Passion for life mentors
a common sense solution to the Indoors Epidemic,
the Social Connectivity Epidemic,
the Screen Time Epidemic
What we are doing is more than decreasing screen time; it is more than introducing kids to outdoor passions; it is more than getting kids hooked on the outdoors. We’re not just battling the screens epidemic, the indoors epidemic; we’re not just fighting all the bad stuff that comes with it - increased rates of childhood obesity, anxiety, depression, suicide. We are fostering and cultivating outdoor mentorship, empowering people to make a difference. And we're doing this at a point in history where bringing people together, embracing our differences, celebrating life - celebrating our differences - couldn't be more needed. If there was ever a way to better the world in so many regards, this is it. - A.G.

Who Introduced You to the Outdoors?
Our founder has spent over 40 years introducing people to outdoor passions.
He credits his love of the outdoors and connection with nature as a key to his physical, mental & spiritual health.
Today he leads a team of over 60 volunteers representing 38 outdoor passions. These amazing people realize how lucky they were to have a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle introduce them to the outdoors & they want to share their passion!
George and his team were amazing teachers with a wealth of knowledge and patience that made the experience an unforgettable one for both me and my son.
- Regina Montefeltri, Single Parent - Cape Elizabeth
The kids loved George and immediately wanted him back.
He kept them fully engaged and did a great job simplifying what for many is a complicated topic.
- Christina Byther, Teacher - Westbrook High School Compass Academy
My son left the experience being the happiest I had seen him in a long while.
On the way home he commented, “This was the best day ever!”
- Simone Yamauchi, Single Parent - Kennebunk
If it weren’t for my dad introducing me to the great outdoors, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
I don’t think there’s anything more valuable, more life changing, than getting kids off electronics and into nature. And there’s so much here in our backyard that most kids never discover.
- Joe Capozza, Volunteer - Falmouth
I was interested in everything he talked about and would like him to come back.
